A powerful and iconic feminine figure who uses drumming to change reality. She travels freely though time and space, from ancient times to the present day. Perhaps she is a creature of myth, of flesh and blood, or something in between.
Hathor, Sekhmet, Ishtar, Aphrodite, Rhea, Demeter, Persephone… Signs and symbols of the Divine Feminine appear in a wide variety of cultures and contexts over thousands of years. And often, she yields a drum.
By keeping time, we can access her timelessness.
In certain microclimates, snow can persist on the ground for weeks after Winter has ended. A more reliable sign of Spring is the flowing of sap from the maple trees. The trees begin to give with the Spring thaw–when daytime temperatures hover above freezing. Maple trees offer their heaviest yields when the sun is also shining brightly–another sign of what’s to come.
At first harvest we reflect on the abundance within ourselves. The first burst of chill meets the warm afternoon sun. Friendships overflow with magic.

There is a goddess within. Sing praise! She is alive and well.
